... but if I have to see vomitously bad headlight choice, you do too.

Daewoo headlights. Seriously.

It's like a PT Cruiser, but uglier.

Probability that it's powered by an SBC?

Pretty high, I'd wager, but with a side hedge on "V6 for no apparent reason".

Hmm, my truck has a V6 for no apparent reason.

Well, S-10 chassis is a semi-apparent reason. I'm thinking more along the lines of a 60s Camaro I saw a picture of that, IIRC, had a 3800 EFI V6.
MURDER

The output is quite similar is it not?

Yes, similar-ish. BUT. One does not take efforts to replace a 60's Camaro with an 80's B-body drivetrain doing a leatherface. Auto + v6 in a 60's Camaro will make me seriously inquire what the fuck is wrong with the owner. It's not supposed to make feeble family sedan humming as it slowly does a barge-launch off the line.

Sooo ... not enough explosions?

Not enough explosions, too-small explosions, too modern driving behavior, too little tunability, wrong look, wrong smell, wrong feel, dull sound, questionable performance, all in the pursuit of "drivability" and "mileage". If one is looking for modern car smooth purr off the line and unqualified good mileage in a classic Camaro and is willing to sacrifice rumble and visceral driveline lock feel, one is f'ed in the head.

Those headlight are a crime against humanity.
